Nevada Counselors / Therapists
NetCE has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider,
ACEP No. 6361. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly
identified. NetCE is solely responsible for all aspects of the
programs.
Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the
co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of
Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains
responsibility for the content of the programs.
The Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage & Family Therapy and Clinical Professional Counselors accepts NetCE's courses as long as content of the teaching material relates to the field of practice of the marriage and family therapist or clinical professional counselor.
Continuing Education Requirement
The Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage & Family Therapy and Clinical Professional Counselors accepts NetCE's courses as long as they are scope of practice.
CPC and MFT requirements are prorated based on original license issue date:
Original license issue date before 1/1/2024 or between 1/1/2024 & 6/30/2024: are required 40 hours every two years, 20 of which may be non-interactive.* A minimum of 6 of the 40 hours must be in ethics, and 4 hours in suicide prevention. Licensees with supervisory status are required 2 hours in supervision.
Original license issue date between 7/1/2024 & 12/31/2024: are required 30 hours every two years, 20 of which may be non-interactive.* A minimum of 6 of the 30 hours must be in ethics, and 4 hours in suicide prevention. Licensees with supervisory status are required 2 hours in supervision.
Original license issue date between 1/1/2025 & 6/30/2025: are required 20 hours every two years, all of which may be non-interactive.* A minimum of 2 of the 20 hours must be in ethics, and 2 hours in suicide prevention.
Original license issue date between 7/1/2025 & 12/31/2025: are required 10 hours every two years, all of which may be non-interactive.* A minimum of 2 of the 20 hours must be in ethics, and 2 hours in suicide prevention.
Effective January 1, 2024, the cultural competency and diversity, equity and inclusion requirement increases to 6 hours per collection cycle for all licensees. (NV AB-267 enacted 6/5/2023).
* NetCE courses are considered non-interactive.
