Florida Counselors / Therapists

NetCE has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6361. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. NetCE is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, NetCE is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit.

NetCE is approved by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling as a provider of continuing education, CE Broker Provider #50-2405. NetCE will electronically report successful course completions to CE Broker.

Continuing Education Requirement

NetCE is an approved provider through CE Broker, Provider #50-2405.
NetCE will electronically report successful course completions to CE Broker.

LMHCs and LMFTs are required 30 hours every two years, all of which may be completed by home study.*

Requirements include:

• Two (2) hours in Medical Error Prevention, every renewal;
• Three (3) hours in Professional Ethics and Boundaries or Telehealth, every renewal;**
• Two (2) hours in Domestic Violence, every third renewal;
• Three (3) hours in Florida Law and Rules, every third renewal.

Qualified supervisors must complete four (4) hours of supervisor training every third renewal.

* NetCE courses are considered home study.

** Professional Ethics and Boundaries and Telehealth are alternating requirements. Continuing education must be completed on one topic every other biennium.
