Kansas Social Workers CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals
Kansas Social Workers
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, NetCE is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit.
NetCE meets the continuing education requirements as set forth by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.
Continuing Education Requirement
The Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board accepts NetCE courses.
LASW, LBSW, LMSW, and LSCSW are required 40 hours every two years, all of which may completed by home study.*
A minimum of 3 of the 40 hours must be in ethics. LSCSWs and LMSWs are also required 6 hours in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders every two year licensing period.
There is a one-time requirement at initial licensure of 6 hours in social work safety awareness training.
* NetCE courses are considered home study.
