New Jersey Psychologists
Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.
Continuing Education Requirement
Psychologists are required 40 hours every two years, 30 of which may be completed by home study.* A minimum of 4 hours must include topics related to domestic violence every two years. A minimum of 1 hour must be on topics concerning prescription opioid drugs, including the risks and signs of opioid abuse, addiction, and diversion every two years.
*NetCE courses are considered home study.
