Missouri Psychologists

Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.

The Missouri State Committee of Psychologists accepts courses from any provider who is approved by the American Psychological Association.

Continuing Education Requirement

Psychologists are required 40 hours every two years, all of which may be completed in Category A.*

NEW Three (3) hours must be in ethics every two years. (Compliance begins with reporting period 12/1/2023-11/30/2025.)

An applicant for initial licensure must complete a minimum of 2 hours in suicide assessment, referral, treatment, and management training. This topic may also be taken for license renewal continuing education credit.

*NetCE courses are considered Category A.
