Kentucky Psychologists
Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.
The Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology accepts courses from any provider who is approved by the American Psychological Association.
Continuing Education Requirement
Psychologists are required 39 hours every three years, 12 of which may be completed by home study. A minimum of 3 of the 39 hours must be in ethics or risk management every three years; and, 6 hours in suicide assessment, treatment, and management in the first year of licensure and every 6 years thereafter.
