Utah Pharmacists / Pharmacy Technicians
In support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
NetCE will report your credit to the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), provided that you add your NABP e-Profile ID and date of birth to your account. If you select to opt out of entering this information, you agree to not hold NetCE responsible for reporting your credit. The Utah Department of Commerce, Division of Occupational and Professional Licensure accepts courses from any provider who is ACPE accredited.
Continuing Education Requirement

Pharmacists are required 30 hours every two years, 18 of which may be completed by home study.* A minimum of 15 hours must be in drug therapy, patient safety or HIV/AIDS therapy and 1 must be in pharmacy law or ethics every two years.
Pharmacists authorized to administer prescription drugs, including immunizations and vaccines, are required 2 hours related to the area of practice every two years.
Pharmacists authorized to administer long-acting injectable drug therapy are required 2 hours of CE related to long-acting injectables every two years.
Pharmacists authorized to dispense self-administered hormonal contraceptives are required 2 hours related to self-administered hormonal contraceptives every two years.
Pharmacy Technicians are required 20 hours every two years, 14 of which may be completed by home study*; or maintain national certification. A minimum of 1 hour must be in pharmacy law or ethics every two years.
*NetCE courses are considered home study.
