New York Pharmacists CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals
New York Pharmacists / Pharmacy Technicians
In support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
NetCE will report your credit to the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), provided that you add your NABP e-Profile ID and date of birth to your account. If you select to opt out of entering this information, you agree to not hold NetCE responsible for reporting your credit. The New York State Education Department Office of the Professions: Pharmacy Unit accepts courses from any provider who is ACPE accredited.
Continuing Education Requirement

Pharmacists are required 45 hours every three years, 22 of which may be completed by self-study.* A minimum of 3 hours must be in strategies and techniques to reduce medication and/or prescription errors, and 3 hours pertaining to pharmaceutical compounding.
Pharmacists participating in collaborative drug therapy management are required 5 hours in relevant protocols every three years. Course may not be completed by self-study.
Pharmacy Technicians are not required continuing education at this time.
* NetCE courses are considered self-study.
