Georgia Nurses CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals
Georgia Nurses
In support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
The Georgia Board of Nursing accepts courses from any provider who is ANCC accredited.
NetCE is an approved provider of continuing education through CE Broker, Provider #50-2405. NetCE will electronically report successful course completions to CE Broker.

RNs and APRNs are required 30 contact hours of continuing education every two years.
Effective July 1, 2024, an APRN authorized under a nurse protocol agreement to issue a prescription drug or device order for hydrocodone, oxycodone, or compounds thereof is required 1 additional hour of continuing education biennially in the appropriate ordering and use of hydrocodone, oxycodone, or compounds thereof.
Beginning with DEA initial registrations or renewals starting June 27, 2023, all DEA-registered practitioners (with the exception of DVM-only license holders) are required 8 hours on treating and managing patients with opioid or other substance use disorders, including the appropriate clinical use of all FDA-approved drugs for the treatment of a substance use disorder, one-time only.
SCLs and ACLs are required 5 hours every two years specific to cosmetic laser services.
LPNs are required 20 contact hours of continuing education every two years.
