Tennessee Counselors / Therapists

NetCE has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6361. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. NetCE is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.

Designated courses have been approved by NetCE, as a NAADAC Approved Education Provider, for educational credits, NAADAC Provider #97847. NetCE is responsible for all aspects of their programming. Please refer to individual course details for approval information.

The Tennessee Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Marital & Family Therapists, and Licensed Pastoral Therapists accept courses from any provider who is APA and/or NBCC approved.

The Tennessee Board of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors accepts courses from providers who are NAADAC approved.

Continuing Education Requirement

NetCE is an approved provider through CE Broker, Provider #50-2405.
NetCE will electronically report successful course completions to CE Broker.

The Tennessee Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Marital & Family Therapists, and Licensed Pastoral Therapists accepts NetCE courses.

LCPC, LPC, CMFT, and LMFT are required 10 hours of continuing education during each calendar year, 5 of which may be completed by multi-media.*

A minimum of 3 of the 10 hours must be in ethics during each calendar year. Licensees with supervisory status are required 3 hours in supervision during each calendar year.

LADAC are required 30 hours every two years, 6 of which must be in ethics. A maximum of 12 hours may be completed by multi-media.

LADAC-QCS are required 10 additional hours every two years specific to alcohol and drug clinical supervision, 6 of which pertain to clinical supervision ethics.

Licensed alcohol and drug abuse counselors and qualified clinical supervisors are required suicide prevention training every four years.

* NetCE courses are considered multi-media (home study).
