North Dakota Counselors / Therapists

NetCE has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6361. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. NetCE is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.

The North Dakota Board of Counselor Examiners accepts courses from any provider who is APA and/or NBCC approved.

The North Dakota Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure Board must approve courses submitted by providers or licensees. NetCE is not currently approved.

Continuing Education Requirement

The North Dakota Board of Counselor Examiners accepts NetCE courses.

The North Dakota Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure Board must approve courses submitted by providers or licensees. NetCE is not currently approved.

LAPC and LPC are required 30 hours every two years, 15 of which may be completed by home study.*

A minimum of 3 of the 30 hours must be in ethics every two years.

LPCC are required 30 hours, and an additional 10 hours in clinical area of practice every two years. A maximum of 15 hours may be taken by home study.*

A minimum of 3 of the 30 hours must be in ethics every two years.

LMFT are required 30 hours every two years, 15 of which may be completed by home study. NetCE is not currently approved.

A minimum of 6 of the 30 hours must be in ethics every two years.

LAMFT are required 15 hours each year, 7.5 of which may be completed by home study. NetCE is not currently approved.

A minimum of 3 of the 15 hours must be in ethics each year.

* NetCE courses are considered home study.
