Colorado Counselors / Therapists

NetCE has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6361. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. NetCE is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.

The Colorado State Board of Licensed Professional Counselor Examiners accepts NetCE's courses as long as the coursework expands or refines professional skills and experience.

The Colorado State Board of Addiction Counselor Examiners accepts NetCE's courses as long as the coursework expands or refines professional skills and experience.

The Colorado Marriage and Family Therapist Examiners accepts NetCE's courses as long as the coursework expands or refines professional skills and experience.

Continuing Education Requirement

The Colorado State Board of Licensed Professional Counselor Examiners, Addiction Counselor Examiners, and Marriage and Family Therapist Examiners accepts NetCE's courses as long as the coursework expands or refines professional skills and experience.

LPCs, LACs, and CACs are required 40 hours every two years, 20 of which may be completed in the category of coursework.* The remaining 20 hours may be completed by independent learning.**

LMFTs are required 40 hours every two years, 20 of which may be completed in the category of coursework.* The remaining 20 hours may be completed by independent learning.**

* NetCE courses are considered coursework when the participant reads a course, completes the required test, submits payment, and receives a certificate of completion. Participants may obtain 20 of their required PDH hours through coursework.

** NetCE courses are considered independent learning when the participant accesses and reads a course for free on our website, www.netce.com. One hour spent reading NetCE courses is equivalent to one PDH of independent learning. Participants may obtain 20 of their required PDH hours through independent learning.
