Kentucky Certified Diabetes Educators CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals
Kentucky Diabetes Educators
NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. To satisfy the requirement for renewal of certification by continuing education for the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE), continuing education activities must be applicable to diabetes and approved by a provider on the CBDCE List of Recognized Providers (www.cbdce.org). CBDCE does not approve continuing education. NetCE is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation which is on the list of CBDCE Recognized Providers.
Continuing Education Requirement
The Kentucky Board of Licensed Diabetes Educators accepts NetCE courses.
LDEs, MLDEs and permit holders are required 15 hours annually with a substantial emphasis on diabetes, presented at a professional level that enhances the quality and effectiveness of diabetes self-management education.
