How long do I have to complete my Human Trafficking course?
You have until March 12, 2025 at midnight to complete your course, Human Trafficking and Exploitation, and receive human trafficking CE credit. As of March 13, 2025, the course will count towards general/elective CE credits. It will no longer be approved for human trafficking credit.*

HHSC announced this new change to CE approvals on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
Will I still get CE credits for this course after March 12, 2025?
Learners who complete the human trafficking course after March 12, 2025 will receive general/elective credits.
How do I receive the required human trafficking CE credit after March 12, 2025?
Beginning Thursday, March 13, 2025, only courses available on the HHSC website will be approved.

What is the approved course from Texas?
Texas Occupations Code, Sections 116 and 301, requires the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to approve training courses on human trafficking. HEART, or “Hearing, Evaluating, Activating, Resourcing and Training,” is a free online training provided by HHSC.
